ஒரு கிராமத்தில் ஏழை குடியானவன் வீட்டு முன்பு மூன்று முதியவர்கள் அமர்ந்திருந்தனர். அப்போது அந்த வீட்டில் இருந்த பெண் வெளியில் வந்து “உங்களைப்பார்த்தால் பசித்திருப்பவர்களைப்போல தெரிகிறது. வீட்டுக்குள் வந்து உணவருந்துங்கள் " என்று அழைத்தாள்.

அதற்கு அந்த பெரியவர்கள் “ வீட்டில் ஆண்கள் யாரேனும் இருக்கின்றனரா?" என்று கேட்டனர்.

இல்லை என்று பதில் கூறிய பெண், “எங்கள் வீட்டு ஆண்கள் வேலை நிமித்தமாக வெளியில் சென்றிருக்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் மாலையில்தான் வருவார்கள் எனவே அதுவரை உங்களால் காத்திருக்க முடியுமா?" என்று கேட்டாள்.

பரவாயில்லை நாங்கள் காத்திருக்கிறோம் என்று கூறிய மூவரும் வீட்டுத்திண்ணையிலேயே அமர்ந்திருந்தனர்.

மாலையில் கணவன் வீடு திரும்பியதும் திண்ணையில் அமர்ந்திருந்தவர்களை பார்த்து நீங்கள் யாரென்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவர்கள், எங்களுடைய பெயர் அன்பு, வெற்றி, செல்வம் என்று கூறினர்.

“எங்களில் முதலில் யாரை நீ அழைக்கப்போகிறாய் ?" என்றும் அந்த குடியானவனிடம் கேட்டனர். உடனே குடியானவன் வீட்டிற்குள் சென்று மனைவியிடம் கலந்து ஆலோசனை செய்தான்.

நம்முடைய வீட்டில் செல்வத்திற்கு முதலில் விருந்து வைப்போம். செல்வம் வந்து நம் வீட்டை நிரப்பட்டும் என்று மனைவியிடம் தெரிவித்தான்.

அதைக் கேட்ட மனைவி, வெற்றி மிகவும் முக்கியமானது. எனவே வெற்றியை முதலில் கூப்பிடுங்கள் என்று கூறினாள்.

அவர்கள் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்ததை கேட்ட மகளோ, “ நீங்கள் இருவரும் அன்பை முதலில் விருந்துக்கு அழையுங்கள் " என்றாள். மகளின் விருப்பத்திற்கு ஏற்ப குடியானவனும் அவனுடைய மனைவியும், அன்பை விருந்துக்கு அழைத்தனர். உடனே அன்பைத் தொடர்ந்து மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வெற்றியும், செல்வமும் பின் தொடர்ந்து வந்தனர்.

இதில் ஆச்சரியமடைந்த குடியானவன், “நான் அன்பை மட்டும் தானே அழைத்தேன் நீங்கள் மூவரும் வருகிறீர்களே?" என்று கேட்டான்.

அதற்கு அவர்கள், “ நீங்கள் செல்வத்தையோ, வெற்றியையோ அழைத்திருந்தால் மற்ற இருவரும் வெளியில் தங்கியிருப்போம். ஆனால் நீங்கள் அன்பைத்தானே அழைத்தீர்கள்.

அன்பு எங்கெல்லாம் செல்கிறதோ, அங்கே வெற்றியும், செல்வமும், என்று பின் தொடரும்" என்று பதிலளித்தனர்.

அன்பு நிறைந்திருக்கும் இடத்தில் அனைத்தும் நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

ஒரு மதகுரு ஆலயத்தில் சொற்பொழிவாற்றினார். "மனிதர்களே நீங்கள் பாவிகளாக இருக்கிறீர்கள். உங்கள் பாவங்களுக்காக இறைவன் நிச்சயம் உங்களை தண்டிப்பான். இறைவனுடைய தண்டனையிலிருந்து தப்ப வேண்டுமானால் என்னிடம் ஒரு பாவமன்னிப்பு சீட்டு இருக்கிறது.ஒரு சீட்டு 50 ரூபா தான். அதை வாங்குங்கள்." என்று சொன்னார்.

50 ரூபாவில் பாவமன்னிப்பா? எத்தனை மலிவு?

கூட்டம் முண்டியடித்துக்கொண்டு பாவமன்னிப்பு சீட்டை வாங்கியது.

ஒருவன் மட்டும் இரண்டு சீட்டுக்கள் கேட்டான்.

மதகுரு " ஒரு சீட்டு போதுமே. யார் இந்த மடையன்? எதற்கு இரண்டு சீட்டுக்கள் கேட்கிறான்? நமக்கென்ன, பணம் கொடுக்கிறான்.வாங்கிக்கொள்வோம்" என்று நினைத்த படி அவனுக்கு இரண்டு சீட்டுக்கள் கொடுத்தார். 

நல்ல வியாபாரம். மதகுரு மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் பணத்தை மூட்டை கட்டிக் கொண்டு புறப்பட்டார், அடுத்த ஊரில் கடை விரிக்க.

வழியில் காடு. திடீரென ஒருவன் கையில் கத்தியுடன் அவர் முன் தோன்றினான்,

"பணமூட்டையை கொடுத்துவிடு, இல்லாவிட்டால் கத்தியால் குத்திவிடுவேன்" என்று பயமுறுத்தினான்.

மதகுரு அதிர்ந்து போனார். "பாவி மதகுருவையே கொள்ளையடிக்கிறாயே இந்த பாவம் உன்னை சும்மாவிடாது"
என்று அலறினார்.

"அதைப்பற்றி நீ கவலைப்படாதே. இந்த பாவம் என்னை ஒன்றும் பண்ணாது" என்றான் அவன்.

அதெப்படி சாத்தியம்? என்று கேட்டார் மதகுரு.

"நான் இதற்காக பாவமன்னிப்பு சீட்டு வாங்கியிருக்கிறேன். அதுவும் உன்னிடமே வாங்கியிருக்கிறேன். ஒருவன் உன்னிடம் இரண்டு சீட்டுகள் வாங்கினானே,னினைவிருக்கிறதா? அது நான் தான். ஒரு சீட்டு செய்த பாவங்களுக்கு. இன்னொன்று செய்யப்போகும் பாவங்களுக்கு." என்றான் அவன்.

மதகுருவால் எதும் பேச முடியவில்லை. உள்ளுக்குள் தன்னையும், அவனையும் சபித்துக்கொண்டு பணமூட்டையை அவனிடம் கொடுத்தார்.


இது ஒரு கற்பனை கதை தான். ஆனால் எதார்த்தமானது.
ஒரு காலத்தில் மதங்கள் பாவம் செய்யாதீர்கள் பாவம் செய்தால் நிச்சயம் தண்டிக்கப்படுவீர்கள் என்று எச்சரித்தன. மனிதனும் பாவம் செய்ய பயப்பட்டான். காலம் செல்லச் செல்ல மதங்கள் தங்கள் மதங்களை பரப்புவதற்காக பலப்பல பாவமன்னிப்பு கொள்கைகளை பரப்ப ஆரம்பித்தன.

இதை நம்பு உன் பாவங்கள் பரிசுத்தம் ஆகும். இப்படி செய்தால் பாவங்கள் போய்விடும் என்று சொல்ல ஆரம்பித்தன.

மனிதர்களும் பார்த்தார்கள், காசா பணமா? வெறும் நம்பிக்கை தானே. பாவங்கள் போக எத்தனை இலகுவான வழி என அந்த மதங்களில் சேர ஆரம்பித்தார்கள்.

மதங்களும் பிரபலமடைந்தன. பாவங்களும் பெருக ஆரம்பித்தன.
வெறும் நம்மிக்கை எப்படி பாவங்களை போக்கும்?

சில மதங்கள் இந்த குளத்தில் மூழ்கு பாவம் போகும், இந்த கங்கையில் நீராடு பாவங்கள் சுத்தமாகும் என்று சொல்கிறது.
இது எப்படி சாத்தியமாகும்?

நாம் பாவம் செய்துவிட்டு கடவுளிடம் பாவமன்னிப்பு கேட்பதால் பாவங்கள் எப்படி இல்லாமல் போகும்? நாம் யாருக்கு பாவம் செய்தோமோ அவருக்கு பரிகாரம் செய்து அவரிடம் பாவமன்னிப்பு கேட்டால் தானே அந்த பாவதுக்கு பரிகாரம் கிடைக்கும்.

நான் எந்த மதத்தையும் இழிவுபடுத்த இதை கூறவில்லை. இறைவன் நிச்சயம் இருக்கிறான்.அவனை சம்மந்தப்படுத்தி உருவாக்கப்பட்ட மூட நம்பிக்கைகளை பின்னற்ற வேண்டாம் என்பதற்கே இதை எழுதுகிறேன்.

மரணத்தின் விளிம்பில்....

மரணத்தின் விளிம்பில் யாருமே அதிக நேரம் தங்கி விடக் கூடாது என்று அருணாச்சலத்திற்குத் தோன்றுகிறது. ஏனென்றால் வாழ்ந்த விதத்தையும், நடந்து முடிந்தவைகளையும் இந்த நேரத்தில் அசை போட மட்டுமே மனிதனால் முடிகிறது. ஆனால் எதையும் சரி செய்யவோ மாற்றவோ அவகாசம் இல்லை.

"ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் வைத்துப் பயன் இல்லை. வீட்டுக்குக் கொண்டு போய் விடுங்கள்" என்று மருத்துவர்கள் ஆலோசனை சொன்னதால் அவரை வீட்டுக்குக் கொண்டு வந்து விட்டார்கள். அதிக பட்சம் மூன்று நாட்கள் இருப்பார் என்று டாக்டர் சொல்லியிருந்தார். ஆனால் கண்களை மட்டும் திறந்து பார்க்கவும், சுற்றிலும் மற்றவர்கள் பேசவும் கேட்கவும் மட்டுமே முடிந்த ஒருவருக்கு ஒவ்வொரு கணமும் யுகமாகக் கழியும் அந்தக் கொடுமையை அருணாச்சலம் மட்டுமே அறிவார்.

மனைவி, மகன், மகள் மூவருக்கும் அவர் மரணத்தில் துக்கம் இல்லை என்று சொல்ல முடியாது. ஆனாலும் அதையும் மீறி உயிலில் என்ன எழுதியிருக்கிறார் என்கிற கவலை மேலோங்கி இருந்தது. ஏகப்பட்ட சொத்தை சுயமாக சம்பாதித்திருந்த அவர் உயிலை அடிக்கடி மாற்றும் பழக்கம் உடையவரானதால் கடைசி உயிலில் தங்கள் நிலை என்ன என்கிற கவலையை அவரருகில் உட்கார்ந்து தாழ்ந்த குரலில் தங்களுக்குள் வெளிப்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அது காதில் விழ விழ மனம் ரணமாகிக் கொண்டே இருந்தது. மனிதனை விட பணம் பிரதானமாகும் போது பாசமென்ன, பந்தமென்ன?

"அந்த நாசமாப் போன வக்கீல் இந்த நேரமாய் பார்த்து சிங்கப்பூர் டூர் போயிட்டார். அவர் திங்கள் கிழமை தான் வருவாராம்" -இது மகன். இன்று வியாழக் கிழமை. திங்கட்கிழமை வரை காக்க அவனுக்குப் பொறுமையில்லை.

"அப்பா எனக்கு கண்டிப்பா ஒரு வீடு எழுதி வைப்பார்னு நாங்க ஹவுசிங் லோன் கூட போடாமல் இருக்கோம். உயில்ல என்ன எழுதி இருக்கார்னு உங்கிட்ட ஏதாவது சொல்லியிருக்காராம்மா?" இது மகள்.

"உயிலைப் பத்திக் கேட்கறப்ப எல்லாம் இப்ப எப்படியிருக்காரோ அப்படியே தான் இருப்பார். எந்த முக்கியமான விஷயத்தை என் கிட்ட வாய் விட்டுச் சொல்லியிருக்கார்" - இது மனைவியின் புலம்பல்.

குடும்பம் தான் இப்படி என்றால் வந்து விட்டுப் போன அக்கம் பக்கத்தினர், உறவினர், நண்பர்கள், அவர் கம்பெனி ஊழியர்கள் என எல்லோருமே ஒரு சம்பிரதாயத்திற்கு வந்தது போலத் தான் அவருக்குப் பட்டது. உறவினர்கள் மெல்லிய குரலிலும், சுற்றி வளைத்தும் உயில் பற்றித் தெரிந்து கொள்ள ஆவலாக இருந்தார்கள். நண்பர்கள் அனைவரும் தொழில் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்கள். ஆகவே அவர்களும், ஊழியர்களும் அவர் கம்பெனி வாரிசான மகனிடம் நல்ல பெயரெடுக்கும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

பக்கத்து கோயில் பூசாரி பார்க்க வந்தவர் "விஷ்ணு சஹஸ்ரநாமம் காதில் விழுந்துண்டிருந்தா நேரா வைகுண்டத்துக்கே போவான்னு ஐதீகம். அதனால தெரிஞ்சவா சொல்லுங்கோ, இல்லைன்னா கேசட்டாவது போடுங்கோ" என்று சொல்லி விட்டுப் போனார்.

"ஏண்டா கேசட் இருக்கா?" என்று அவர் மனைவி மகனிடம் கேட்க அவன் இல்லை என்றான். அதோடு அந்த விஷயம் மறக்கப் பட்டது. இல்லாவிட்டால் ஒன்று வாங்கிக் கொண்டாவது வா என்று அவளும் சொல்லவில்லை. வாங்கிக்கொண்டு வர அவனும் முயற்சிக்கவில்லை.

குடும்பத்திற்காக ஏகப்பட்ட சொத்தை சேர்த்து விட்டு விடை பெறப் போகும் இந்தத் தருணத்தில் தன் குடும்பத்திடம் இருந்து அவர் இதை எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை. பணத்தையும், சொத்துக்களையும் சம்பாதித்தவர் மனிதர்களை சம்பாதித்து வைக்கவில்லை என்பதை உணர்கிறார். சொர்க்கம் நரகம் என்று சொல்லப்படுவதெல்லாம் செத்த பிறகு போகும் இடங்கள் அல்ல, இந்தக் கடைசி கணங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் எல்லாவற்றையும் சீர் தூக்கிப் பார்க்கும் மன நிலையே என்று அவருக்குத் தோன்றுகிறது.

"சார் எப்படியிருக்கார்" என்று அவரது டிரைவரின் குரல் கேட்க கண்களைத் திறந்தார். அவரது டிரைவரின் மகனும் கூட நின்றிருந்தான். நான்கு வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு ப்ளஸ் டூவில் மாவட்ட முதலிடம் வந்த மாணவன் அவன். அப்போது என்ன படிக்க வைக்கப் போகிறாய் என்று டிரைவரைக் கேட்ட போது "அவன் இன்ஜீனியர் படிக்க ஆசைப் படறான். அதெல்லாம் நமக்கு முடியுமா எசமான். ஏதோ டிகிரி படிக்கட்டும்னு இருக்கேன்" என்று டிரைவர் சொன்னார். அத்தனை நல்ல மார்க் வாங்கிய பையன் ஒரு சாதாரண பட்டப் படிப்பு படிக்கப் போவது பொறுக்காமல் "இன்ஜீனியருக்கே படிக்க வையுப்பா. படிக்கறதுக்கு ஆகற செலவை நான் பார்த்துக்கறேன். அக்கௌண்டண்ட் கிட்டே சொல்லி வைக்கறேன். தேவையானதை சொல்லி வாங்கிக்கோ" என்று சொன்னார். எத்தனையோ செலவாகிறது இது பெரிய விஷயமல்ல என்று அவர் அன்று நினைத்தார்.....

அவர் மனைவி சொன்னாள். "டாக்டர் கையை விரிச்சுட்டார். வீட்டுக்கு எடுத்துகிட்டு போக சொல்லிட்டார்.." அதைக் கேட்ட டிரைவரும், டிரைவரின் மகனும் லேசாகக் கண்கலங்கினார்கள்.

"என் மகனுக்குக் காலேஜ் கேம்பஸ் இண்டர்வ்யூல டாட்டா கம்பெனியில வேலை கிடைச்சுடுச்சும்மா. மாசம் ஆரம்பத்திலயே 25000 சம்பளம். எல்லாம் சார் போட்ட பிச்சை. அதான் சாரு கிட்ட சொல்லி ஆசிர்வாதம் வாங்கிட்டு போக கூட்டிகிட்டு வந்தேன்"

அந்த இளைஞன் அவர் காலைத் தொட்டு வணங்கினான். அவன் முகத்தில் நன்றியுணர்வு நிறைந்திருந்தது. டிரைவரும் கண்கலங்க அவர் காலைத் தொட்டுக் கும்பிட்டார்.

அருணாச்சலம் அவர்கள் இருவரையும் ஒரு கணம் நிறைந்த மனதுடன் பார்த்தார். அந்த இளைஞனின் வெற்றியும், அவன் நன்றியுணர்வும் அந்தக் கடைசி தருணத்தில் மனதுக்கு இதமாக இருந்தது. அவரும் ஓரிரண்டு மனிதர்களை சம்பாதித்திருக்கிறார். அடிமட்டத்தில் இருந்து ஆரம்பித்த வாழ்க்கையில் செய்த சாதனைகள், சேர்த்த சொத்துக்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் விட அந்த மாணவன் படிக்க அவர் செய்த சிறிய உதவி மட்டுமே அர்த்தமுள்ள செயலாக அவருக்கு அப்போது தோன்றியது. வாழும் போது பெரிதாகப் பட்ட எல்லா விஷயங்களும் மரணத்தின் விளிம்பில் நின்று பார்க்கையில் அற்பமாகத் தெரிந்தது

அந்த இளைஞனைப் பார்த்து அவர் புன்னகைத்தார். அந்தக் கணத்தில் மரணம் அவரை நெருங்க ஆரம்பித்தது. வாழ்க்கையைத் திரும்பவும் வாழ முடிந்திருந்தால் இது போல் மேலும் பல நல்ல காரியங்கள் செய்திருக்கலாம் என்பது தான் அவரது கடைசி நினைவாக இருந்தது.

If you use a computer more than two hours a day,

you could be suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS).




A CBS News Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton explained CVS is associated with symptoms that come

with sitting in front of a computer,

 hand-held device, iPhone, iPod for hours every day.

"The most common symptoms are: eye strain, dry or irritated eyes, fatigue, and headaches",

CBS News quoted Ashton as saying.




She provides some quick tips to keep eye strain at bay:


1. Blink Often:


When looking at a computer or hand-held digital device,

it's common for you to blink two to three times less than you normally would.

This can lead to "dry eye".

Blinking bathes your eyes in tears, and tears are naturally therapeutic for the eyes.




2. The 20/20/20 Rule:


When spending long periods in front of a digital device, every 20 minutes,

spend 20 seconds looking at something 20 feet away to allow your eyes to rest.



3. Ensure Proper Lighting:


To help ease the strain on your eyes,

keep bright lighting overhead to a minimum and position your desk lamp to shine on your desk,

and not at you.

Position your computer screen in a way that reduces reflections and glare from windows or overhead lights.



4. Location of computer screen:


Optimally, the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level

(about 4 or 5 inches) as measured from the centre of the screen

and 20 to 28 inches from the eyes.

உணவு என்பது மனிதனின் முக்கிய தேவை. உணவு உண்பதால் நாம் ஆரோக்கியத்துடன் உயிர் வாழ்கின்றோம், உணவை விரும்பி உண்பதற்காக, சுவையாக சமைக்க, பலவிதங்களில் உணவில் சுவையை உண்டாக்குவதற்க்கென பல பொருட்களின் துணையுடன் உணவை தயாரித்து உண்கின்றோம். ஆனால் அப்படி உணவின் சுவையை அதிகரிப்பதற்காக நாம் கண்டுபிடித்த பல பொருட்களினால் உடலுக்கு ஏதேனும் நன்மைகள் உண்டா என்பதை நாம் சிந்தித்தோமா. காரம் புளிப்பு உப்பு கரம்மசாலா எண்ணெய் என இவற்றின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகரிப்பதால் நமது உடலுக்கு நன்மை என்ன தீமை என்ன என்பதை நாம் எப்போதாவது சிந்தித்து அதன்படி சமைப்பதற்கு முயலுவதுண்டா.

மனைவியோ அல்லது வீட்டில் வேறு யாரோ சமைக்கும் உணவு சுவையாக இல்லாவிட்டால் அவர்களை திட்டுவதும் உணவகத்திற்குச் சென்று நாவின் சுவைகேர்ப்ப உண்பதும் நமது வழக்கம். நாவின் சுவைக்காக உணவை பக்குவப்படுத்தி சமைத்து உண்ணுகின்ற அதே சமயத்தில் சுவைக்காக சேர்க்கப்படும் பொருட்கள் உடலுக்கு எந்த விதத்தில் தீமை செய்கிறது என்பதைப்பற்றி நாம் அறிய முயன்றிருக்கின்றோமா. சுவைக்காக அதிகப்படியான உணவை உண்பதால் உடலுக்கு ஏற்ப்படும் தீமைகளைப் பற்றி நாம் அறிந்திருக்கின்றோமா. உடலுக்கும் பசிக்கும் உணவு முக்கியம் என்பதைத்தவிர அதை எவ்வாறு உண்ணவேண்டும் என்பதை நாம் சிந்தித்து செயல்படுவது உண்டா.

உடலுக்கு ஏதேனும் நோய்கள் உண்டான பின்பு மருத்துவர் குறிப்பிட்ட உணவு வகைகளை சாப்பிடக்கூடாது என அறிவுறுத்தினாலும் பலரால் பலவகையான ருசிகளை சாப்பிடாமல் இருப்பதற்கு முடிவதில்லை. இதற்க்கு காரணம் பழக்கம், பழக்கம் என்பது மனிதன் தனது சிறுவயது முதலே கைப்பற்றி வருவது. அவ்வாறு சாப்பிட்டு பழகியதால் அவ்வித சுவைகளை நாக்கு பழகி விடுகிறது. பின்னர் அத்தகைய சுவைகளுடன் கூடிய உணவைத் தவிர வேறு வகையான சுவை குறைவான உணவை ஏற்க்க மறுக்கிறது. உடல் நோய்வாய்பட்டு படுக்கையில் அல்லது மருத்துவரின் ஆலோசனையின்படி உணவை உண்ணும் கட்டாயம் ஏற்படுகின்ற வரையில் அத்தகைய உணவுகளை உண்பதையே தங்களுக்கு திருப்தியளிப்பதாக கருதுகின்றனர்.

வாய்க்கு ருசியாக சமைத்து உண்போம் பிறகு நோய்வாய்பட்டு கிடக்கின்ற போது மருத்துவர் கூறும் உணவுகளை சாப்பிட்டுக்கொள்ளலாம் என்று சிலர் கூறுவதும் உண்டு. ஆனால் பலரது உடல்நிலை தங்கள் சாப்பிட்ட ருசியான உணவு வகைகளால் முற்றிலுமாக பாதிப்பிற்கு உள்ளான பின்பு மருத்துவர் கூறும் உணவு முறைகளை கைபற்றுவதினால் காலம் கடந்தநிலையால் உடல்நிலையில் ஏற்படுகின்ற பாதிப்புகளிலிருந்து குணமாக இயலாமலே போவதை காண முடிகிறது. அதிக காரம், உப்பு, சர்க்கரை, புளி, கரம் மசாலா போன்ற பலவகையான பொருட்களால் உடலுக்கு எவ்வித நன்மைகளும் ஏற்படுவதில்லை மாறாக தீமைகளே அதிகம் உண்டாகும், சிலர் இவற்றை அறிந்தும் சிலர் அறியாமலும் அதிகப்படியாக உட்கொண்டு தங்களது நாவை பழக்கப்படுத்திகொண்டு பின்னர் அவதியுறும் நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்படுவதை காண முடிகிறது.

உணவை அதிக சுவையுடன் சமைப்பதால் அதிகம் உண்பதற்கு ஆவலைத் தூண்டுவதனால் அதிகம் உண்பதால் ஏற்படுகின்ற உபாதைகளும் உடலில் ஏற்படுவதை நம்மால் தவிர்க்க இயலாமல் போகிறது. பசிக்கு உணவா ருசிக்கு உணவா என்பதையும் உணவே மருந்து மருந்தே உணவு என்பதையும் கைகொள்ள பழகுவதே வருமுன் நம் உடலை காக்கும் சிறந்த வழிகளாகும்.

1.     Use as little as 3 to 4 tsp of oil per day, enough only for the seasoning of dals & vegetables.

2.     Til / Corn / Mustard / Sunflower / Saffola oil can be used. Avoid using Groundnut / Cottonseed oil.

3.     Avoid Ghee / Butter / Cheese / Milk cream / Fried & Oily foods.

4.     Avoid Sugar / Jaggery / Honey / Fruit Juices / Aerated drinks / Sweets / Ice creams / Cream biscuits.

5.     Use milk, only after removing cream twice (skimmed milk) for tea / coffee / curd / milk as such.

6.     Restrict the use of coconut & groundnuts to minimum.

7.     Restrict the use of pulpy fruits like banana / Chiku / mango / Pineapple / Sitafal / Musk Melon. Instead prefer fruits like Orange / Mosambi / Guava / Apple / Papaya / Watermelon. Fruits that can be had with the peel, have them with the peel.

8.     Avoid using Soda Bi-carb in cooking.

9.     Avoid table salt. Do not add salt in Salads / Butter Milk / Curds.

10.  Eat plenty of Green Vegetables & Salads.

11.  Have at least one serving (1 katori) of sprouted or boiled pulses everyday.

12.  Restrict use of root vegetables like sweet potatoes / yam / potato. To minimize the use of these vegetables, they can be used in the form of mix vegetables.

13.  1 tsp of coarsely grounded Methi seeds can be taken every morning, before breakfast.

14.  Drink as much as 10 to 12 glasses of water during the day.

15.  Do not skip any of your meals.

16.  Eat small frequent meals & keep your meal timings regular (Avoid fasting).

17.  Go for regular brisk walk for at least half an hour with doctor’s advise.

18.  Perform yogasanas like Vajrasana, Mandukasana, Dhanurasana, Halasana Bhujangasana, Shavasana etc. & also perform pranayams like Kapal Bhati, Bhrastrika, Anulom vilom, Bhramri etc. All of them to be done on empty stomach at early morning for maximum & better results.

19.  Check your sugar level regularly & consult the doctor on regular interval at least every 3 months.

20.  Think positive, never negative. Your positive attitude helps a lot to improve the immunity & also avoid stress to control the sugar level.
